What a difference a year makes.
Where to begin. It's been a very busy but exciting first year. Hard to imagine one year ago we were just beginning to make ice cream and create recipes. One year later we have a company, packaging, a line-up of flavours and we are in retail stores/restaurants. We have had so many wonderful opportunities this past year.
We erased the final project off the whiteboard recently. We stood back and felt relief. Also, a bit of sadness. That year went by in a blur and we realized we were too busy to stop and smell the roses. Our company is taking a two week 'break' soon. Part personal food journey, part schooling. Yes, we are officially taking part of an ice cream making course at the University of Guelph. One more step towards the growth of the company.
We are excited for the future. We hope the company continues to grow but maintain roots planted deeply in integrity of what make Cornell Creme special. Quality and dedication to the crafting of food. The 'stop and smell the roses' part. Yes, at times it is exhausting to make the ice cream the way we do but in the end we know it is worth it. We are proud of what we have created and so very thankful for the support of our lovely customers and stores. We thank you!
As they say, money can't buy happiness, but it can buy ice cream. We think that is the same thing!
